One of the most important pieces of the Logic of English™ program is memorizing phonograms. As an adult, we hear this and it seems tedious, but many educators will tell you kids this age actually love memorization!
The Logic of English™ program encouraging learning and memorizing the phonograms through games and play. But my daughter has always just preferred flipping through them like flashcards and being done.
When you buy the program you can buy the phonogram cards, which are great, especially for the games when you want something that will shuffle and deal nicely. But for flipping through we prefer these. I created these to keep up with our busy, on-the-go, in the backyard homeschool style.
We have put them on the grass and hopped across them, hid them around the yard, taken them in the lines at Disney, and flipped through them over breakfast on our camping trip. I have had to reprint them several times. I numbered them, so it’s easy to put them in the order learned if needed.
